What to expect — stated plainly
Laser cutting capability depends on material and thickness. Here's honest guidance on what fiber lasers hold, and the paperwork we back it with.
Dimensional capability
For typical thin-gauge work, fiber laser cutting holds profile dimensions around ±0.005", with capability tightening or relaxing by material and thickness. Kerf (the width the beam removes) is compensated automatically, and cut edges carry a slight taper that is normal for the process.
These figures are honest guidance, not a blanket guarantee: your part's geometry is checked when you upload it, and what the checker covers — part size against real stock, hole size against thickness, spacing between features — is flagged before you pay, not discovered after.
Have a drawing with critical dimensions? Put them in your order notes so the shop sees them alongside your files.
Rules of thumb the checker enforces
- Hole diameters at or above material thickness cut cleanly; smaller holes get flagged for review.
- Holes and cutouts spaced tighter than the material allows get a second look. (Thin necks within a single outline aren't machine-checked — call those out in your notes.)
- Sharp interior corners pick up a small radius from the beam — design with kerf in mind or let us flag it.
- Part size is checked against real sheet stock, so a quote never promises a part the bed can't hold.

AS9100-certified facility
Your parts are manufactured at Dynamic Balance Machine, a precision machine shop certified to AS9100. The process discipline behind aerospace work is the same discipline behind your bracket.
Export control
The service is for commercial work only: uploads require certifying your files carry no ITAR/EAR-controlled technical data, and we cannot accept controlled work through any channel — including email.
